Okay yāall, Iām so stoked to be making this post. We have a āØnew artistāØ alert!!!! Starting JULY 6th, our sweet friend Bethany Mitchell will be tattooing alongside us! You may have seen her at the shop, or in our posts, or even painting our windows when youāve driven past the shop. She is our friend who owns the wonderful Eclectic Avenue Studios LLC ! She is so incredibly talented, funny, and kind, and we are grateful to not only have her as an artist but also as a friend š«¶š¼ This decision didnāt come lightly and there was much discussion about it, but ultimately it feels right, and we couldnāt be more excited to welcome her in next month! She is already available to be booked with via Porter, and her books are open starting July 6th, so you can go ahead and get booked in with her in advance! Hereās a note from Bethany! ā¬ļøā¬ļøā¬ļø
Hey, Iām Bethany! Wife, mama of two, artist, and entrepreneur (if you willš¤£). If youāve followed me for any length of time, you know I have a hard time sitting still and am always dreaming up my next creative adventure.
Over the last several years, Iāve balanced tattooing while building and running Eclectic Avenue Studios, a creative space that has grown into both an art studio and tattoo studio. The art studio has become something Iām incredibly proud of, and Iāll continue running it, teaching classes, hosting events, and creating opportunities for our community to explore their creativity.
As much as Iāve loved owning the tattoo side of the business, Iāve made the decision to step back from that role so I can focus on what made me fall in love with this industry in the first place-tattooing. Iām incredibly excited to join the team at Vintage Visions and have the opportunity to learn from talented artists, push myself outside of my comfort zone, and continue growing in my career.
I truly believe that the more I learn and grow as an artist, the better experience I can provide for my clients. This move isnāt about walking away from something...itās about investing in myself, my career, and the people who trust me with their tattoos. I couldnāt be more excited for this next chapter and am so grateful for the opportunity. Lacey and Austin have already made me feel so welcome, and I canāt wait to see where this journey takes me alongside such an amazing team.
