A dear lady went home today with this sweet snuggly quilt. Minky is so soft! Just as a public service announcement: we used flannel for the back. We decided it should be washed before quilting. Good Thing!! It shrunk by 2 inches in both directions! And it was a high quality flannel too. Wow. Good to consider when buying yardage and before quilting. Oohh but the result was so worth it.

This is a good example as to why the backing and batting needs to be an extra 4 inches on all sides. This quilt just made it without obstruction with the zippers which attaches the quilt to the frame. All in all it turned out great and is truly a beautiful quilt. Stay tuned for more information on preparing your quilt for your longarmer.
