The 117th Arden Fair is coming on Saturday, Aug 30, 2025.
The annual Arden Fair will be here before you know it! The Folk Gild will be running the soda booth in front of the Gild Hall and we really hope you can volunteer for a shift,

Here is the link to sign up for a shift. If you need to split or share a shift please contact me and of course we can accommodate!

Why should you volunteer at the fair?

The Arden Fair is an annual event that raises money for the Arden Club, which is the parent organization of the Folk Gild and all the other Gilds that offer programs at the Gild Hall. The Arden Fair pays for the upkeep of the Gild Hall so we can host our international, Contra, Scottish, and Arden in Motion dances there every month. The gilds help out at the fair so the club can take care of us during the year. And it's kind of cool to volunteer at an event that's been going on for 117 years!

It's a great day for all ages: there's a used book sale, a plant sale, crafts, an antiques fair, children's rides and games, delicious food and drink, and a live music stage with performers all day long. Check out http://www.ardenclub.org/Arden-Fair/ to learn more about the Arden Fair.

And finally, the Folk Gild soda booth is positioned right near the entrance to the fair so you can find all your friends as they arrive or head home. And if the weather is hot, it feels great to plunge your arms into buckets of ice to retrieve a cold bottle of water or lemonade or iced tea or soda.
I really hope you can volunteer for a shift at our soda booth!

Many thanks,
Laura Alexander
Contra dance organizer for Arden Folk Gild

The 117th Arden Fair - August 31st, 2025 Every year the Arden Fair and Antiques Market is held on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend.
