Playing the viola representing the voice of Christ in Lamb of God is violist, Sabina Thatcher.
Sabina Thatcher joined the Minnesota Orchestra in 2019 as associate principal viola, after serving as the principal viola of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra from 1989 until 2012. She was a soloist with that ensemble on many occasions. Thatcher was an artist-faculty member at the Aspen Music Festival and School from 1998 to 2016, and she has been a distinguished artist and teacher at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University. Before coming to Minnesota, she graduated from the Eastman School of Music with a performer’s certificate and distinction, then studied at the Juilliard School with Lillian Fuchs. During that time she toured with the Brandenburg Ensemble under the direction of Alexander Schneider and was a prize
winner in the Hudson Valley Competition.

Singing the part of Mary of Bethany is Rebecca Burton! Originally from Georgia and a resident of Minnesota since 2013, Rebecca Burton started her musical journey performing as a dancer in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with her family. Having seven years of ballet, her first solo, O Holy Night, at her middle school Christmas concert sparked a new passion for theater and vocal performance. Since then, she has been in multiple classic musicals such as Seussical the Musical, Legend of Zorro, The Music Man, and Annie. Rebecca first joined the Minnesota Saints Chorale at age 15, inspired by the group's powerful performance of Lamb of God. After serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and graduating from BYU-Idaho with a bachelor's in recreational therapy, Rebecca is delighted to return to the chorale.

Meet the Maid and Damsel, who confront Peter before the cock's crow.

Singing the Maid is Liz Pack. Liz is a mezzo-soprano from Utah with a Masters in Social Work currently working in that field. She has been singing with the Minnesota Saints Chorale for several years and has enjoyed performing with other choirs including the Utah State University Chorale under the direction of Corey Evans and the American Festival Chorus under the direction of Craig Jessop. She has also participated in community theater projects in Utah which have included an ensemble role in Seussical the Musical and the role of Lucy van Pelt in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Liz is excited to be participating in Lamb of God again this year!

Kelsey K. Rogers, soprano, is thrilled to return as a soloist in Lamb of God as the Damsel, having previously sung Martha and Mary the Mother. Dr. Rogers serves as the assistant conductor of the chorale and loves the chance to make excellent music with people who share her love of Jesus Christ. In addition to singing with the chorale, Dr. Rogers sings with The Singers: Minnesota Choral Artists, teaches music privately, is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Badlands Opera Project, and loves singing as a soloist in choral-orchestral works like Lamb of God. Dr. Rogers holds degrees in vocal music from NDSU, U of AZ, and BYU, and currently lives in North Saint Paul with her husband, five sons, and one insanely perky poodle-cross puppy.

Meet our Narrators! - Jonathan Kirkham & Rebecca McAllister
Jon attended Brigham Young University where he sang with the Men's Chorus and Concert Choir and worked at the campus radio station, Classical 89 KBYU-FM. A few years ago, he founded a girls' choir for his daughters and was executive director of the North Star Boys’ Choir. He has been in plays, musicals, and concerts throughout his life and has been a frequent narrator for Lamb of God.

After many years of performing Lamb of God in the choir, Rebecca McAllister is
grateful to be returning as a narrator again this year. Rebecca studied Music and Theater at Brigham Young University Hawaii where she had opportunities to tour with music groups throughout Asia and the Pacific. Some favorite stage roles include Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing and Kathrine in Kiss Me Kate. Rebecca is married to Evan McAllister and has homeschooled their five children full-time for the
last 16 years.

Singing the False Accuser is Evan McAllister.
Evan McAllister grew up on a small cherry tree farm in Oregon. He learned at an early age that if he was practicing music he could get out of some of his farm chores. Evan graduated with a degree in music from BYU-Hawaii and then went on to Pharmacy School at Oregon State University. He works as a Nuclear Pharmacist. Evan is pleased to be performing the false witness role again this year. He previously sang the part of Judas. He is married to Rebecca McAllister (who is narrator for Lamb of God this year) and they live in Ramsey, MN.

Singing the part of Accuser during the trial of Christ is Mike Butcher. Mike Butcher is a Minnesota transplant from the Washington, DC area. However, he has lived all over the country during his schooling to become a sub-specialist in Urology. He works for a local hospital system and enjoys his career working in sexual
medicine and male factor infertility. He minored in music at Brigham Young University and participated in various musical events and choirs over the years. He joined the Minnesota Saints Chorale several years ago and has enjoyed his participation with this great group. One of his favorite roles was in La Boheme at BYU, but Accuser and Judas in the Lamb of God have been pretty fun too!

"I have had the pleasure and opportunity to sing in the Minnesota Saints Chorale for 15 years. I have loved sharing my faith and love of Jesus Christ through song. Coming up is one of my favorite oratorios--The Lamb of God. It is stirring and inspirational! The soloists are amazing. Most of all I love coming together with choir and orchestra to celebrate the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You’ll love it. "

"This is my third year singing in Lamb of God, and my testimony of the message only continues to strengthen. The power and hope the Lamb of God brings will change your life. As is sung repeatedly in the oratorio: “Here is Hope.” There is no better way to feel the personal impact of that message than through music." -Whitney R.
