I am so excited to announce that along with my greeting cards, I will be selling limited edition prints of a watercolor painting I created! The piece is entitled “A Broomcorn Connection” and depicts two churches connected by a field of broomcorn. This is the first time that I have made prints of my artwork, and it has been a super fun learning experience as an artist.
The painting is based off of an idea for a mural that I proposed back in January along with a plan to construct a plaza in downtown Arcola based off of the Plaza Principal in Cadereyta Jiménez, Mexico. I wanted to capture the connection between Arcola and Cadereyta Jiménez, and how important this connection has been to fostering the growth of our community and its rich diversity. I will leave a more detailed description in the comments!
There will be 25 8.5”x11” signed prints available, as well as 70 5”x7” signed “postcard prints.” Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so be sure to stop by Eadie and I’s booth this Friday-Sunday to purchase yours! I hope to see y’all there!
