Yessir, Ithaca! As the dust settles from an incredible drama season, I wanted to share a whole group photo from one of our dress rehearsals as well as the director’s note from our program.
Thank you one more time to every single cast and crew member, as well as all the school employees, family members, and every other adult who supported the drama kids in any way, big or small.
This show will “live on in glorious memory” for all of us involved—forever.

Director’s Note
Each stage production is wonderful in its own way, but every once in a while, a play comes along that you know is going to stick with you for a while, and this is one of those shows.
Live theatre is magical for so many reasons. Even more so than movies and television, theatre is actively creative, as it forces both the performers and the audience to use their imaginations to live the story on stage and from the seats.
Live theatre also requires courage: the courage to try new things, the courage to put yourself out there, the courage to make mistakes but keep the show going anyway.
But live theatre is also special because it’s fleeting, ephemeral. After this weekend, we will never have this particular show with this group of kids ever again--a sad and beautiful thought all at once.
The kids have felt it, too: this year’s experience is special. I’ve encouraged them all to soak it up while it lasts, long nights and busy rehearsals and all, because it doesn’t last forever.
We hope you enjoy our show as much as we have enjoyed making it. Thanks for being our audience tonight!
And to every single one of my kids: thank you for being the ones who showed up. 💜
