The Dance Shop Dance studio serving the Triad and surrounding areas for 40+ years. Debbie Roberts. It started out in a small, one room studio.

The Dance Shop of Archdale has been a staple in the Archdale-Trinity community for over 25 years and was originally founded by Mrs. Her passion for teaching and love for dance prompted her to open The Dance Shop in 1977. The Dance Shop was well received in Archdale and grew to over 500 students at its peak. Watching her students dance with commitment and passion let to the development of her goal,

to create an arena for young dancers to showcase their talents. Thus, she developed Showstopper National Talent Competition. The Dance Shop of Archdale proudly relocated to a new location not far from the original one room studio. Our current home offers over 6000 sq feet of studio space, including 3 studio rooms, boys and girls locker rooms, student lounge, costume room, spacious lobby, and Starstruck Dancewear retail store. Our studio rooms provide observation windows to allow parents to monitor their child's progress throughout the year. Our Archdale location is conveniently located to I-85 and is easily accessible to students and their families from Archdale, Trinity, High Point, Thomasville, Lexington, Denton, Greensboro, Kernersville, Randleman, and surrounding areas. The Dance Shop proudly opened its second studio located in Asheboro, NC in 2006. A competition program soon followed in 2007, and continues to grow! We believe parents and dancers alike will be pleased with our new 2 room studio on East Dixie Drive! Restaurants, shopping and grocery stores are minutes away - providing busy families with extra conveniences that are sure to be a plus! Much like our Archdale location, this will be a full service studio providing instruction in all dance forms for ages 2 to adults. Our Asheboro location will be easily accessible from Randleman, Seagrove, Troy, Ramseur and Siler City. In Archdale this year, we will be offering a youth (ages 8-12) cheerleading program that will teach the basic skills needed for cheerleading. For the first year, we will learn a routine to perform for exhibitions only (i.e. parades, half time at ball games and recital). We are very excited to offer this new program to the students.

As we are getting close to the end of our 49th season, the walls filled with pictures are such a beautiful reminder of everything this studio represents. Fun, teamwork, hard work, perseverance, long hours, commitment, and endless giggles.

More than anything, they remind us of the incredible families who fill these halls with love, support, and memories year after year. Every photo tells a story, and we are so grateful to be part of each one.

As we close out Season 49, our hearts are already looking ahead with excitement and gratitude for what’s to come in Season 50. We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone together and make even more unforgettable memories. 💙✨
