DID YOU KNOW...
Today in 1965, while shopping for a German shepherd to guard their van while unattended, The Who had their van broken into and all their equipment stolen. The event turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as the band finally replaced their Vox amps with Marshalls, which helped give The Who a reputation for being the loudest band of the era.

DID YOU KNOW...
Today in 2001 a riot started in the parking lot on Schrader Blvd near Hollywood Blvd. After a planned free concert by System of the Down to celebrate the release of their album "Toxicity" did not take place. More than 15,000 fans showed up, exceeding capacity by thousands and prompting the fire marshall to shut the concert down before it could begin.
System of the Down was not permitted to address their fans and when stage breakdown began, so did the riot. There was an estimated $30k in damage and System of the Down required a police es**rt to exit the scene.
"Toxicity" debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 and has gone 7x Platinum.
