The Making of SugarFest
Years ago the City of Arab had a fireworks show hosted by a local citizen. But, alas, there have been no fireworks lighting the sky above Arab for many, many years. Recently, a group a citizens decided to change that. But before they knew it, other ideas for the community were being thrown out left & right: an Arts & Crafts Show, a Kid’s Area, Food Trucks, a Carnival, a 5k

Race, live music until the fireworks show had grown into a one day community festival! An Arts & Crafts Show? What will it grow to be? What is the one thing those all have in common? It’s in the South and life is sweeter in the South, right sugar? And there it was! SugarFest! Taking place annually on the Saturday of Labor Day at Arab City Park, we hope you will make plans to attend!

Start your SugarFest morning with a little movement! Whether you’re a serious runner or just ready to have some fun, we want YOU at the starting line!

🍬 SUGARFEST — 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
After the race, stick around for a full day of food trucks, vendors, shopping, kids’ activities, entertainment, and family fun! 🎪🎶

We are a family run business started over 15 years ago by my mother in law. We offer a delightful variety of fudge including traditional peanut butter and chocolate flavors. A flavor we are know for is the orange creamsicle which tastes like just like the ice cream of that flavor. As the years go by we are getting known for unusual fudge flavors like coffee, key lime and whatever is seasonal to keep it fresh and exciting. I will have a flavor of the week but I have not decided what it is yet.
