Wednesday Night Weekly Standup Showcase at The Med Weekly Standup Comedy Showcase At The Med, Every Wednesday Night Starting at 8pm

Every Wednesday Night from 8-ish until 10-ish we have a standup comedy showcase at The Med in Aptos. This is not an open mic, you must actually have demonstrable talent-ish to get on, feel free to contact George to secure mic time. This is a nice dive-ish bar, comics work so blue here they are actually working purple, and if you win this audience over then you know you have something. 21+ only, free show, possible gas money and drinks on host depending on circumstances, but not paid gig.

Another Wednesday Night Weekly Standup Showcase at The Med comes to a successful conclusion. And it was a hit by all accounts. Great turnout eventually with some spirited and vested audience members who seemed to be enjoying themselves while interrupting comedians. Possibly the best show we have had yet at The Med. Thanks to all who were there for the energy and enthusiasm. Thanks to Todd The Antonio Banderas Lookalike Bartender, the best bartender in Santa Cruz County at the most Bukowski bar in Santa Cruz County.

To me, football is a metaphor for life. Because aren't we all, as humanity, together on one "team", striving together towards one "goal"? And isn't the rest of humanity also together on another "team", bent on crushing you and preventing you from achieving your goals, and pointing at you and laughing at you when they beat you? And don't we all wear "padding" and "helmets" to protect ourselves because of our fears and insecurities? And don't some of us like to kill dogs for sport and money, or r**e drunk girls in bathrooms while our "bodyguards" prevent her friends from helping her? And, if you want something from Tony Romo, all you have to do is follow him around, because eventually he will just drop it on the ground for you to pick up, or even throw it directly to you.
