A sweet little drop by from Karen, we have just 2 of these mugs with a glaze she was experimenting with. What do you think of this color combo?? Gorgeous, right?!?

We also have a few ring holders, bud vases, and water cups for the painters! Can’t wait to see what you guys think of these!

Kevin McGillivray’s show is winding down but up next we have a fantastic fiber artist, Pat Bishop. Pat is an award winning artist and uses a combination of techniques to make her creations. She has a deep appreciation for nature and is a thread throughout her artwork.

Pat will be giving a demonstration of her process, watercolor on fabric, on Wednesday, August 5th from 5-7pm. Light snacks will be provided for visitors.

Pat’s show will run from August 5th-September 12th.

If you’re new here, hi, I’m Jackie, owner of Little Known Art House. I’m also a printmaker and photographer 🙌 I started doing art festivals with my printmaking artwork about 5 years ago and was one of the inspirations for opening the art house. One of my favorites is Appleton’s own Art at the Park. I’ll be heading there this weekend, July 25th and 26th, in City Park. Stop by Booth U3 and say hi!!

Little Known will still be open but our hours on Friday will be shorter so I can go set up. My best friend, Michelle and her daughter, will be watching the art house on Saturday so please show them some love ❤️

I know you love these artists just as much as I do so I’ve compiled a list of their booth numbers so you don’t have to. Come by City Park on July 25th and 26th and give them lots of love.

Up next in the gallery is artist Kevin McGillivray. Kevin is an artist and educator located right here in Appleton WI. His focus is on observational drawing and painting in a variety of subjects including portraiture and landscape. You may also know Kevin as the organizer of the Appleton Drawing Club!!

Come by and meet the artist next Saturday, June 27th during the Urban 115 pop up market and artist reception. He will be drawing portraits at Little Known Art House of a lucky few that morning from 10-11:30am!! First come first served! Kevin’s show will run through the end of July.

Cloud Nine Beauty Lounge and Little Known Art House are teaming up again to bring you another Urbane 115 (that’s the name of our building) pop-up market!! We love collaborating on these events and sharing our spaces with other local artists and small businesses. There will be yummy baked goods from Hope’s Sweet Treats, permanent jewelry by .hausofhecate, hair tinsel, handmade art, and more! Kevin McGillivray will be drawing portraits onsite from 10-11:30am. We have a very special pop-up happening at the art house from May 15th-May 30th. May is mental health awareness month and Gabby DeBoer has brought in several of her small watercolor artworks, proceeds of which she will be donating to Prevent Su***de Fox Cities. Read Gabby’s story and stop in to purchase her work.

Personally, I wanted to support what Gabby is doing as this is a subject that hits quite close to home for me. I and people close to me have dealt with depression and suicidal ideation as well as friends and family that are grieving loved ones lost. Art has long been a way for me to deal with my own dark thoughts and emotions so in support of Gabby’s mission I’ll be matching her donation of the sales made here at Little Known.

Popping up this Saturday, May 2nd, will be at the art house during the Derby downtown wine walk from 1-4pm. She’ll be bringing a selection of her beautiful pottery for you to choose from. You do not need a ticket to stop by and see Lindsay or to shop but if you’d like to take part in the wine walk, head on over to the downtown Appleton website to register.
