Oshkosh Transition
After 20 years in our Oshkosh location, we have exciting and heartfelt news. We have decided to pass this studio onto our friends and incredibly talented artists, Jon and Paige. Jon Handler, has been a valued and incredibly talented member of the Big Guns family for 20 years. He, along with Paige Holloway, who is an amazing piercer and has been with our family for eight years will partner in this new venture as co-owners of the studio in Oshkosh. This new studio will be their own, individually branded and no longer affiliated with Big Guns Tattoo outside of friendship, family, comradery, and a shared passion for this industry.
Prior to our founder’s (Don DuBois) passing in 2022, we purchased a building in Appleton. This building is just blocks from our location of 15 years on Calumet Street in Appleton. This studio will remain open and will operate as the sole location of Big Guns Tattoo.
It is time to downsize. My dream was our new building so we could have all artists under one roof. I knew that Jon and Paige were established in Oshkosh. I always wished they would come to the Fox Valley, but knew they would prefer to remain where their clientele is. I am so happy to have them take on this venture, and keep their clients happy, and see them succeed in business! To be honest, Don and I always set a goal that we would sell the shop to Jon. He was one of Don’s first apprentices and he is a true friend.
This transition will take place in June of 2026. For the first few weeks in June expect their Oshkosh studio to be closed while they do some renovations. For those clients who have gift cards, wanting work from Jon or Paige specifically, we ask you to use those prior to June. Feel free to come into the Oshkosh shop to book an appointment with Jon directly as the gift cards cannot be used on his booking site. We strongly encourage you to visit our friends Jon and Paige in Oshkosh. We all appreciate your continued support. Thank you from all of us at Big Guns Tattoo. This has been a wild ride that has spanned 25 years. We aren't going anywhere!
