Yo PPL- This is an Appleton Drawing Club event. What does that mean? Well, Richard Edge is comin to town for a live performance / drawing session fusion show.

ADC has had many models (and some birds) as subjects before, but never something like this.

Any skill level is welcome to attend and those who'd like to see Richard play but don't wanna draw... Well that's cool too!! Their new album VESPERS just dropped on the Crutch Of Memory label and while you can order it direct through the label, they'll have copies at the show.

There'll be a short posed portrait sitting halfway through the show as a traditional portrait opportunity for those drawing.

It's at our fave art-forward compound in town Photo Opp - Appleton at 7pm and admission is 15 bucks. Register online with Appleton Drawing Club or pay cash at the door.

Gonna be chill!!!

Richard Edge's debut LP, Vespers, plays like a stoned Southern ode to the primitive guitar.

A rushing flood of steel-stringed vibration; pristine; plummeting: higher music not made for a concert hall. Casual like the rubber burning off a pair of sh*tty sneakers on a cooked, overgrown summer sidewalk. It's Richard's vernacular: deeper than dumb- in fact, incredibly deep- a universe of buoyantly drifting particles settling in a creek bed after some buck-toothed kid in cutoff jeans made that poor-man's ocean skin their landing pad.

Call it folk; call it blues; call it punk. It's an outsider classical music with inherent twang. It's a window into Richard's world, and it's the latest installment in Crutch of Memory's irreverent catalog.

Richard Edge's VESPERS is out today on LP and digital formats. Get your copy at the link below

Richard Edge's debut LP drops in three days on our lil label, Crutch Of Memory . It's called Vespers. If you dig the left-of-the-algorithm sounds of true outsiders who play from the heart and aren't kissing ass for likes, subscribes and craft-festival slots, this should land on your turntable. It's blemished American music that sparkles like dented chrome in a sea of shattered plastic.

Richard hails from Alabama but made the journey up to our humble studio on Meade Street to track this thing a couple years ago. It's COM #005 and it hits the streets on Friday. Jump into the link in comments to preorder your copy or nag your local record store to get some copies from us. And if you insist, stream at your will starting Friday morning.

Richard hits the road on the 2026 Vespers Summer Tour starting Saturday in Jackson, MS. If you live in the Southern or Midwestern United States, observe!! If you don't, get your LP now, we've got less than 150 copies in stock.
