🎵 We made the cover of City Pages.

*Farmers Market Downpour* is the cover of the summer print edition, and I'm still a little stunned. This painting is everything I chase in my work: a real place, a passing moment, and the feeling caught somewhere in between.

Inside, Janelle Fisher writes from our conversation about fine art, the plein air life, and a piece of advice that's become paramount to me. Gratitude post!

For the first time in three years at Fresh From Cedarburg, I had the pleasure of selling a painting during the event. A lovely couple from Germany will be taking home Legion Memorial Park, a 20x16 oil on hardboard.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared kind words, asked questions, and supported the artists painting throughout Cedarburg.

The work is far from over. We will be painting all week leading up to the Main Event. Friday night features the juried show and awards reception, followed by artwork sales that continue through Saturday. If you're in the area, come out and see what this incredible group of artists creates over the next few days.

Fresh From Cedarburg continues to be one of my favorite events, and I'm grateful to be part of it.

Cottonwoods at Bubolz - Original

Cottonwoods at Bubolz is a luminous 11x14 oil painting on wood panel created en plein air during the Cedarburg 2025 Plein Air Event at the Bubolz Nature Preserve near Appleton, Wisconsin.
