It was an incredibly busy weekend for us as we kickstarted our year with our very first dance performance! We would like to thank Mr. Thai Lee, a teacher of the Appleton Area School District for 30 years now, for inviting us to join you on such a special day celebrating your accomplishments in your career. It was incredibly heartwarming to hear stories and memories from students and to see what a strong impact Mr. Lee has had on the Hmong community throughout the Fox Cities. Congratulations on your retirement and thank you for dedicating your time to the community for the past three decades. This performance was specially created at the request of Mr. Lee, himself, and with the hard work of our co-coach and dance captain.

Fun fact: some of the team members of Meej Mom Seev are Mr. Lee's former students! 🤍

We had a very successful fundraiser, selling more than 600 eggrolls this weekend! We are forever blessed, and this excites us more as the year continues to progress. We hope you all enjoyed your delicious eggrolls! 😋

Hello! I am Skylin Yang and I am 15 years old! This will be my 4th year dancing and my 3rd year competing! I look forward to being on stage again and I hope we can grow as a team. A team that inspired me to dance is Golden Eclipse! I love their determination and their connection together. Besides for dance, I enjoy playing roblox on my freetime and maintaining my grades.

Hello! My name is Sophina Yang and I will be turning 17 this year. The 2026-2027 dance season will be my third year competing as I was a dancer for Zaj Ci (2024-2025) and co-coach for Moonstone (2025-2026.) I am excited to grow as a dancer along with developing a close bond with my dance siblings! Other than dancing, I am heavily involved with DECA and enjoy painting in my free time. A dance group I enjoy watching is Royal Dynasty because they always explore different styles of dance and execute it really well.

Today, we had our late Christmas celebration to honor the end of the year and to close out our final dance journey. 🎄 Although we are sad to share that we will not be moving forward as a team, we are thankful for all of the memories we have created, shared, and engraved into our hearts.

We want to give another shoutout to our support system that consisted of our dearest friends, family members, and of course, our sponsors! Thank you to the following donors for your contributions towards Meej Mom Seev’s most recent season:

And this concludes our 2024 dance season. Thank you everyone for all the continued love and support you have given us. We were so blessed to be given the opportunity to be onstage again and enjoyed each waking moment shining our brightest. Every chapter comes to an end, but this bittersweet moment will last a lifetime for us. 🩷
