The Menominee Tribe’s 2023 economic impact study for its proposed Kenosha casino failed to account for the Ho-Chunk Nation’s Beloit Casino, set to open October 23, 2026, as Wisconsin’s second-largest casino. It will feature approximately 1,300 slot machines and 40 table games, operate 24/7, and compete for the same southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois market, with a hotel and conference center planned for fall 2027.

Kalshi has seen more than $173 billion in overall trading volume so far this year, as of Friday, according to publicly available data from Paradigm, a major investor in the prediction company. A Kalshi spokesperson told CNN this week that users between 18 and 21 currently comprise 3.14% of overall trading volume.

Young adults between 18 and 21, who are legally barred from most gambling in the US, have traded an estimated $5.4 billion so far this year on the Kalshi prediction market, according to a new CNN analysis.
