Cat Clausen Fine Art Cat Clausen is the only artist ever to paint in this style. The reason for this unique style has its root in Cat’s personal voyage. First the ideas come.

The images form in my head. I can find inspiration at any moment of the day and even in my dreams. I hold these inspiring “pictures” in my heart and let them develop. Once I have the painting formulated, I sketch my vision on paper with pencil. During this process I am most interested in the painting’s concept. I explore what the piece means and how the meaning pertains to my life or the lives of

others. Once this is done, I create a small oil study. The oil sketch allows me to develop the painting’s color balance. When I’m satisfied with the color preliminary, I begin the final piece. While I’m painting I allow my intuition to guide me. This makes my complicated style of painting flow easily and freely from my gut onto the cavas, or even a guitar!
