As we reflect on this event, we are reminded why we call it “Together As One.” On September 11th, 2001, the coordinated attacks on this country killed 3,000 innocent people and injured over 6,000 and to this day, is still referred to as “…the worst attack against the homeland in our nations history. (www.state.gov)”
While the organizers of those attacks developed them in an effort to pull our nation apart, what happened instead was the greatest display of the human spirit and resilience. It is in that spirit and for the memory of the first responders who lost their lives that we remembered, ran, and celebrated our freedom, 22 years later.
🇺🇸❤️We hope this video inspires and reconnects all who participated and made this event a success - as sponsors, organizers, vendors, runners, cheerleaders, families, and community members - We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and can’t wait till next year!❤️🇺🇸
