Come join Kelly with The Knotty Dogs on Sunday, June 28th, 1-3 PM at Creative Hub of Apopka for a Beginner Crochet Plushie Workshop!

In this 2 hour workshop we will cover the basics of crocheting and practice getting comfortable holding the hook and yarn. I have picked out a beginner friendly free pattern and will provide all supplies needed to create your own baby whale as well!

Supplies that will be provided for the workshop: yarn, hook, safety eyes, stitch marker, stuffing, scissors, sewing needle.

You will also receive a pdf presentation the day of the workshop that will include videos and everything we will cover during the workshop so you can revisit and continue to practice crocheting after the workshop!

Each participant will receive:
- A live, hands-on sourdough lesson with step-by-step guidance
- A sourdough starter jar to take home and continue baking with
- A beginner-friendly starter guide you can reference after class
- All materials needed to prep your first loaf during the workshop
- Light snacks and refreshments to enjoy while we learn

This class is designed to remove the guesswork and overwhelm so you can leave feeling confident, supported, and ready to bake at home.

Art with Heart was a success, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it happen. ❤️

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and attendees, we were able to assemble care kits and create personalized cards for our local first responders.

A special thank you to Debbie March Richardson for helping champion this project, coordinating efforts, and assisting with the delivery of the completed kits. Thank you also to Heather Wylam for helping prepare the space so guests could jump right in and get to work.

To everyone who donated, attended, packed kits, wrote cards, or supported this project in any way—thank you. Your kindness helped make a meaningful impact on those who serve our community every day.
