We are so excited to finally share the official recording of Oceanville, one of the most fun and unforgettable songs from Florida Christmas: The Musical! When I first drafted the musical, I imagined the host of the Oceanville Party as “Lawrence Kelp” - a playful parody of the famous TV host Lawrence Welk (yes, the bubble machine legend from the 1960s!). But then came auditions…
From the moment she stepped in, Claire McColl wowed us with her incredible voice, British accent, sharp humor, and stage presence that lit up the room. Instantly, Lawrence Kelp transformed into Lawrensa Kelp, and the role found its true star. The surprises didn’t stop there; Claire even designed her own dazzling costume! It became the signature look of our musical. Whether on the community theater stage or at the Florida State Fair, audiences were mesmerized.
Now, thanks to an amazing team of live musicians: full string section, Latin percussion, and hours of studio work -- we’re thrilled to release Oceanville for the world to hear. Can you guess which famous song inspired the creation of Oceanville? Drop your guesses in the comments!

Another Song is Released!
We are excited to share the release of another original song from Florida Christmas The Musical --- “Swanee River Boogie-Woogie.”
This new number introduces Cristi the Crab, a young crustacean with an old soul who longs for the music of “older days.” This song is a very interesting blend of Florida heritage and jazz tradition, inspired by Stephen Foster’s state song “Old Folks at Home (Swanee River)” and Albert Ammons’s legendary 1936 boogie-woogie recording.
With completely new original verses, top virtuoso live musicians brought the boogie-woogie to life. And a tap-dance finale performed by 12-year-old Charlotte Turner --- a very gifted singer, actor, and fun tap dancer made that track very unique and really cool!
