We will be officially announcing a fundraiser for ALS United North Carolina soon, and one way you can help Festa make it a success is if you or your business can donate a gift card, free tickets to a concert or movie, artwork, or other items that can be part of our prize package for this August event. For more information, please email [email protected]

Full details about this special event are coming in early July!

Instead of a pre-party for Festa this year, Festa Italiana North Carolina will instead host a special fundraiser in Partnership with SerafinaRistorante for ALS United North Carolina on August 23 in Downtown Apex. Details in the attached flyer, and tickets will be on sale in a few weeks. If you own a business or otherwise have access to gift cards, free tickets, spa packages, artwork or other smaller items that can be donated for a raffle, please contact [email protected] and one of the board or organizing team can come pick them up.

Very sad news to share with our Festa Italiana North Carolina family and friends this week. Lisa Giannuzzi, a daughter of two of our founders, Fran and Bob Giannuzzi, passed away from her battle with ALS Monday evening. Her obituary is included here, and is a lovely tribute to someone who cared deeply for family, friends, and even strangers. She will be missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Giannuzzi family during this very difficult time.

Lisa was also a Bronze Sponsor for 2026 Festa Italiana North Carolina and had worked in the Wine Booth in the past.

Lisa Anne Giannuzzi, age 51, passed away peacefully at home on June 15, 2026 after a two-year battle with ALS.
