Congratulations Rachel Consolazio () and the Apalachin Public Library on your Community Arts Grant via the Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes ()!
⭐️
With the support of this award, Consolazio will introduce community members to the traditional craft of ceramic hand building through workshops inspired by her own artistic practice. This project will allow her to increase the number of participants in her teaching artist workshops by introducing a new method of making with clay. Congratulations VINES () and Kari Varner () on your Arts in the Community Grant via the Earlville Opera House () FY2025!
⭐️
With the support of this award in the Summer and Fall VINES will host five nature focused art workshops led by Binghamton-based artist, Kari Varner. Community will engage in art making using plants as materials. Techniques include cyanotype, paper-making, watercolor with handmade pigments and film development with plants. This project encourages artistic exploration, skill building, and opens a dialogue about arts relationship to sustainability and agriculture.
⭐️
Consolazio first got involved with Artist Grant Navigation through our workshop series and utilized office hours for feedback and an editing on her grant (although she really didn’t need it and hit out of the park on the draft she shared)

Many congratulations, to you both!
