Plein Air Painters of the Southeast PAP-SE is an artist organization recognized under Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code.

PAP-SE dedicated to promoting and preserving the art of painting outdoors, directly from life. We champion high professional standards, foster skill development through on-location practice and shared learning, and help audiences discover and support Plein Air painting across the Southeastern United States. Founded in 2001, PAP-SE brings together roughly 40 juried, professional painters—an intenti

onally small, selective group recognized for outstanding talent and commitment to excellence. We are an artist-led organization that encourages collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual encouragement among members. Our artists capture the Southeast’s coastlines, farmlands, forests, and historic towns in oils, pastels, and other media, sharing the region’s beauty with collectors, museums, and the public through exhibitions, workshops, and collaborative events.
