There is a reason I like hands-on machine demos!

A brochure cannot tell you how a machine feels in your shoulders. It cannot tell you whether the handles fit your hands or whether the movement feels natural.

When you are looking at an APQS longarm, you need to stand at the frame and move it yourself!

We have Handmade Happy Hour this week, Tuesday 4-6:30. We’d love to have you join us! There’s no cost, and there will be snacks!

If you are choosing thread and feel stuck, start with one question...Do you want the quilting to show, or do you want it to settle into the quilt?

That answer usually helps narrow the choices. From there, we can look at the backing, batting, piecing and design!

A warranty is not the most exciting thing to talk about until you need it.

One reason I appreciate APQS is the support behind the machines. When you invest in a longarm, you are not just buying metal, wheels, handles and a stitch regulator.

You are buying the ability to keep quilting with help behind you and that matters to me!

Millie is a machine I enjoy putting quilters in front of because she is built for serious quilting days.

Big quilts, custom work, Quilt Path when you want computerized help or hand-guided quilting when you want your hands fully in the work!

A good machine should give you room to grow and that is one of the reasons Millie has such a loyal following.

Retreat day 4… I started to work on a different project but it just wasn’t working for me. So on to Plan B! I spent the day working on Tula Nova EPP. I always bring a handwork project to retreats just in case I need a little downtime.
I had a great time meeting new people and catching up with friends over the past few days. It was so good for my creative soul! The perfect me time.
