Hey y'all!!
I am happy to introduce you to my main character from my series and first book Remembering You. Her name is Zayra! She is strong willed, loving, determined and very protective of the people she cares about. Even though she does not always have everything figured out, she always handles it with grace and like a badass. She keeps going even when she is tired, scared, or completely overwhelmed. I thought this little scene from my book gave a good glimpse of who she is:
"My fingers finally brush against something solid.Relief crashes through me.
Determined, I dig my nails into the dirt and pull myself forward. Inch by inch, I drag myself from the river, my trembling arms barely strong enough to support my own weight.
For a moment, all I can do is stay there on my hands and knees.
Gasping.
Trying to breathe.
“I will never take breathing for granted again,” I whisper to myself.
I let out a shaky laugh.
I swear it is always something. I can never catch a break."

This character has been in my mind for years and is so amazing to see her come to life. It's even more amazing to be able to share her with all of you.
