Historic Anthony Theatre The Historic Anthony Theatre in recent years has had a new roof installed, and repairs completed on the front façade. The HVAC has been completed.

Our next adventure is the Marquee. Fundraising toward getting it restored has begun. The Anthony is a 1936 Art-Deco Theatre with a stage and was built as the first "refrigerated air" space in the Anthony, Kansas area. The water cooled system went by the wayside when the owners built the Star Vue Drive-In at the north edge of Anthony. With a deteriorating wall and a leaking roof the goal was “to se

al the envelope”. An exterior wall at the south end on the west side of the building was constructed and a new roof installed. The Carthalite on the front was restored along with a full façade facelift. A Geothermal system was installed to upgrade the heating and cooling in the Anthony Theatre. The mechanical and electrical systems have been updated.
