Every family's got a story that gets passed down whether it makes sense or not. Never start a project on a Friday. Always eat black-eyed peas on New Year's. Don't whistle indoors, don't put a hat on the bed, don't cut fabric after dark.

It's National Folklore Day, this weekend and we want to hear yours! Quilting superstition, kitchen tradition, ghost story your grandpa swears is true, doesn't matter. Drop it in the comments.

We're picking favorites to feature at our live sale on Saturday, August 22, and yes, we're going to try to match what we feature on the show to your stories. So if your family swears by a lucky color (or an unlucky one), we'd love to hear it.
