I’m sorry for the inactvity! Life has been zooming! But, I took the time to grab this sunset from Jacksonville Mountain. While I was up there… sitting on my hood, watching the clouds float on cruise control, feeling the crisp breeze and absorbing the moment. I wanted to share what was on my mind. The importance of time being the most valuable currency on this Earth. However, many people don’t realize that until it is too late. I know many of you work 5 days a week and often find yourself getting caught up in this life we all share. Losing time for yourself, family, friends, things you enjoy, etc… it’s easy to do. Next time you find yourself feeling the pressure of life, try this. Walk outside and just stop. Stay still. Close your eyes. Embrace your surroundings. Breathe in the sky. Move with the trees as a cool breeze waves them. Listen to the birds talk about all that’s happened today (occasionally you’ll hear the crow laughing at his friends day). Open your eyes and watch others as they move frantically. In this moment it will feel as if time has slowed or even stopped for you. Why’s that? Why is it that when you step back and embrace life, you feel you’re missing so much? That can’t be possible… you’re going nonstop, everyday, for 365 days. But it is. Day, after day, after day, we miss so much because we’re so focused on what’s next. We only get one go round on Earth. The average human lives to be 74. That’s 27,010 days. Seems like a lot at first. Then you realize just how fast time truly does move. Live in the moment. Go do that thing you’ve always wanted to do. Go see your parent/s. Call your friends and go catch up. I’ll wrap this up by asking that you all just try what I mentioned above next time you’re moving through this life at an unbearable rate. It’ll slow you down… even if it’s temporary.
