It's Barb here....

Let’s be honest… I can’t keep a secret, and I REALLY really REALLY want to show off the new animatronic my amazing husband made… but I just can’t. 😅 This one has to be saved for the people brave enough to visit Parasomnia this October. You're going to be blown away!!!

I’m so incredibly proud of Aaron Carpenter. I had my eye on a $6,000 animatronic, and we talked about maybe making it our big purchase for the 2027 season if we had a good 2026. Instead, he went and made it happen for this year, and he made it himself. I'm so impressed at how talented he is!

He built it, programmed it, and made it do some pretty awesome things. Be prepared for it to scare the crap out of you! Honestly… it looks just as good as the professionally made version for less than half the cost.
Saving money here means we can put even more back into the haunt somewhere else — and that’s huge for us.

But more than anything, he made it for me, and that's L🖤VE!

After 2 years of hard work, sacrifices, long nights, building, creating, planning, stressing, and pouring our hearts into Parasomnia Haunted House… we finally hit pause for a much-needed vacation. 🌴☀️

Building Parasomnia has been a labor of love. Every prop, every room, every scare, and every detail has taken countless hours and dedication. We wouldn't trade it for anything, but even monsters need a little time to recharge.

Vacation isn't just about rest — it's about resetting your mind. Stepping away gives you time to breathe, reduce stress, and come back with fresh ideas and renewed creativity. Sometimes the best ideas are born when you stop forcing them and simply let your mind wander (by the beach).

We're taking some time to relax, recharge, and reenergize... because when we come back, Anna Marie's nightmares will be waiting. 👁️😈

Parasomnia may be on vacation... but the nightmares never truly sleep.
