The Academy Ballet School of Annapolis follows the Royal Academy of Dance graded syllabus for classical ballet training. ABSA offers the finest teaching curriculum for classical ballet, character dance and lyrical free movement modern dance. ABSA is directed and staffed only by RAD certified and professionally trained ballet instructors. Our mission is to encourage, foster, and provide for every c

hild, regardless of age or ability, the joy of movement and a love of dance. ABSA is known for professional excellence and careful technical training, which provides a strong, solid core ballet education for the student. ABSA was founded in 1975 by Eileen Razzetti and remains a highly respected ballet school in Anne Arundel County and beyond.

Congratulations to all of our dancers, ages 5 through 18 who participated in this spring's examinations for the 2025-2026 school year 🌟

The Royal Academy of Dance flew in Ms. Susan Evans for three days, and despite the crossover with Annapolis Film Festival (AND ongoing construction), the examinations went on without a hitch! Thank you to all of the staff who supported ABSA through the process.

And a special thank you to Brenda Lasher for being our hallway support staff for another year while Ms. Lindsay runs music :)

A shout out to all of our volunteers and staff who make these shows possible. Enjoy some behind the scenes footage ahead of our official production photos!

This year we had a unique challenge to overcome as Maryland Hall dance studios were shut down for their big renovation. Thank you to Eastport United Methodist Church and Bates Middle School for hosting us during this time. We also had many classes in Maryland Hall's very own Bowen Theatre!
