I make unique fused glass jewelry by layering fusible art glass and dichroic glass. Some have custom designs etched into them, others have inclusions. The glass is fused in a very hot oven called a kiln at 1500°. Some come out with a look that is absolutely perfect, while most are further cut, shaped, & ground; they may have more glass layers added and are once again placed in the kiln to produce
these beautiful and truly unique little pieces of wearable art. Dichroic glass gives much of my work it's unmatched brilliance. It was
originally developed by NASA for use in satellite mirrors. Multiple ultra-thin layers of different metal oxides are applied to glass in a vacuum chamber. Certain wavelengths of light will either pass through or be reflected, causing an array of colors to be visible. I also do Stained Glass and would be happy to make a custom piece for your home or office. One of my favorite things to make are kaleidoscopes. I do them in both fused and stained glass in a large selection of designs. Because I don't have normal business hours I have listed the address of my local Farmers Market and their Saturday hours as a reliable place you can find me each week from April until Christmas. Always verify my schedule/events because if I have a craft show that weekend I may have to miss the Farmers Market. Check out my website for more details on me, my art, my schedule, etc.
