We're still not sure when we'll be able to resume concerts. Stay safe this summer and enjoy the many outdoor music offerings.

The 333 Coffeehouse will be dark through the summer. We hope to bring you live folk music again in the fall. In the meantime, check out the following: Tomorrow night - Fri. 6/19, 8 pm
Juneteenth 2020 : A Day of Remembrance
A special online event that speaks to what's going on in America, this is a performance and panel featuring legendary singing group Sweet Honey in the Rock and a number of special guests. Proceeds benefit the Equal Justice Initiative. More info here. (I think this will also be streamed on Facebook.)

Ongoing: places to find live folk music online

Our friends at Focus Music (they put on concerts around greater DC) have a great page with links to lists of live-stream and archive shows. You can find lots of music there.

Our kindred spirits in North Jersey, the Folk Project, have curated an ongoing series of live concert streams dubbed the "Acoustic Stayaway." They have some great stuff going on, with two shows a week on the calendar, and regular online meetups for songwriters, guitarists, and just singing along and sharing songs. Plus, there are links to videos of some past shows. Definitely worth a look.

Robin Bullock let us know about the Keep Music Live Project, which is a hub for live performance streams by acoustic artists (mostly instrumentalists).

The Philadelphia Folksong Society has a "digital venue" on Facebook (in a private group). A donation (sliding scale) is needed to obtain access, I think. They are having 2-3 shows a week - notably, Tom Paxton will be presented on June 28.

I hope you can take advantage of some of these online opportunities and support the artists. The lack of normal gig income is making things tough for professional performers these days, so I think we, the music lovers, ought to do what we can to help them get by.
