(Disclaimer: maybe we are more blunt and forthright than others about this issue because we can be 🤷‍♂️)…….

While we have not personally experienced attendance issues at our shows thanks to many of you, we want to be clear about how the house concerts work. These events have limited space and every guest who attends takes a spot that could have gone to someone else. Because of that, a donation/prepayment is now the preferred method to confirm your spot these days, especially since all donations collected go to the artists, not us.

When someone asks us for “tickets”, doesn’t send the donation, and then doesn’t respond to multiple emails or messages, it makes it very difficult to plan the event and fairly accommodate everyone who wants to attend.

When we reach out multiple times and give plenty of opportunities to confirm one’s (group) attendance, yet there is no response or payment, we have to assume you and your group are not attending and release the spots. We do offer refunds in a reasonable amount of time before a show as life happens, but try bailing out of a show through Ticketmaster and see how that goes…..

Moving forward, we won’t be able to accommodate those person’s requests to attend future house concerts. This isn’t personal or meant to be disrespectful—it’s simply necessary for us to have a consistent policy and be fair to the people who actually commit and support these special events. These shows aren’t meant to be your Plan B for the day/evening.

We put a tremendous amount of time, money, and effort into making these concerts happen, and we need guests to respect the process just as we respect their interest in attending.

(Of course based on the actions of a few select individuals, they won’t see the email and now certainly won’t be able to see our FB page. That goes for a local social media influencer who likely just wanted to know what/where Hi-Lites is and had no intention of attending the show.)

Season 8, done! Sorry for the light rain, but we didnt melt.

Thanks to Jesse Rice Music, Wheeland Brothers, Cliff Cody, Chris Sacks Band, and Nate Finn Music for sharing their talent in our little backyard! (Pretty frickin good lineup tied into one season)

Thanks to our awesome neighbors for either enjoying or putting up with this adventure for 8 years (even the one power washing in the rain)!

Thanks to all the folks behind the scenes that help us with making the yard look amazing, setting up, checking in, parking, occasionally bartending, selling merch for artists, cleaning up, and breaking things down. You know who you are and we appreciate you!

Finally, thanks to YOU for attending (and prepaying, which makes everything easier on us)! You all always show up, averaging 145 per show this season!

Thanks for cleaning up behind yourselves, esp yesterday. Not one wristband tab, not one lime slice, not one bottle cap or can tab, no leftovers for the wildlife. Nothing. (Except this hooded raincoat- if it is yours reach out)

We love doing these, but we definitely loved cutting it back so going into season 9 that’s what we are doing moving forward.

A few others, but again, it is going to be a 4-5 show MAX season! So we will see where things fall.

2026, we are DONE! It is time for an extended break and time to put our feet up!

WEATHER UPDATE: We will have nothing but clouds (and a hint of a chill for us thin blooded folks). 67* mostly cloudy. You can bring your canopy if you want, but we would prefer to keep the amphitheater free and clear for better viewing for all.

We are sold out, but if you have a friend or two that can squeeze into your car/Uber we had 4-6 folks under the weather that we could refund if we backfill.

Also, friendly reminder: lots of behind the scenes things as we approach show day so we may not get to your emails or messages. If you open the email with your “tickets”, click on the “Hi-Lites presesnts Jesse…” and ALL the info you could need or ask for is there for you. Thanks!
