Thirteen weeks flew by, and on Monday, I’ll be stepping back into my full-time job.

This time last year, I was running full speed—my busiest season at work with our annual conference just weeks away, Over & Under thriving, and my focus set on growing my business more than ever.

Then I got pregnant, and I had no idea just how much I’d need to slow down. I learned to rest, to listen to my body, and to give myself permission to fully step away during maternity leave. And it was exactly what I needed.

These weeks with Wells have been the most special of my life, and I’m so grateful for the uninterrupted time to soak it all in.

As I return to my full-time job, I’m not quite ready to dive back into Over & Under just yet. I miss this community, and I will be back—but gradually, more authentically, and with a new balance that prioritizes my family first.

I’m incredibly thankful to work for a company that truly values this time and allowed me the space to take it. Wells and I are both better for it.

I’ll see you soon, Over & Under community and see you even sooner !

Framed weaving prongs have been RESTOCKED!

While I’m here, I’ll say a quick hello! Maternity leave has been exhausting, but I am so grateful to be able to take this time off to spend it with Wells! I go back to work in a couple of weeks, so I’m soaking up every moment I can with our sweet boy.

Miss you guys and can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to!

I’ve been meaning to share this piece I made for Wells’ nursery—though I’ll admit, I spent way too much time trying to edit out the baby monitor in the corner. Then it hit me: why? This is my life now. Our home is now cluttered with a lot more baby gear, meaning it is much less perfectly curated—but so much fuller, messier, and beautiful in its own way.

So here’s to showing up honestly, even if it doesn’t always match the aesthetic. My feed may look a little different moving forward, but it’ll reflect the life I’m living and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

If there’s one lesson this pregnancy has taught me, it’s that you can’t do it all, all the time. You can be present in the moment, productive, or relaxed and recharged…but you can’t be all three at once. For me, this season has been about choosing relaxed and recharged.

Our social life has slowed down, and I’m less active in my business, losing a lot of followers along the way. Letting go of productivity anxiety has been hard—I’m used to always pushing forward—but I’ve learned to listen to my body and embrace this slower pace.

Prioritizing this unique time has been its own kind of growth. Sometimes the biggest leaps happen when we’re at rest.

Update: still pregnant 😅 Thank you all for checking in!

I am still mustering up the energy to break out my loom, but I had a surge of creative energy that resulted in some really fun fall projects. This HUGE shaggy pumpkin was made with orange yarn scraps and giant pom-pom maker and I am simply OBSESSED with it.

Yesterday, I hosted a bridal shower for my dear friend, and for the first time in months, I felt like myself again. For 32 weeks, pregnancy has turned my world upside down—exhaustion, discomfort, and feeling so unlike the social, energetic person I usually am. Pregnancy has a way of robbing you of your bodily autonomy, as your body feels like it’s no longer your own, changing in ways beyond your control.

But yesterday was a sweet reminder of the things I love, which fundamentally make up who I am—curating the perfect menu, cooking with intention, and pouring my heart into decorations and the tiniest details. It gave me a sense of purpose and joy that I’ve been missing.

Celebrating someone who deserves the world made me feel more like myself than I have in a long time. With 8 weeks of pregnancy to go and then an actual baby to take care of (🤣), I’m not sure if this is my big return to Instagram. But for now, I’m riding this high, grateful to feel reconnected to who I am. Next up, fall decorating and maybe trying my hand at weaving something new. Here’s to little moments that bring us back to ourselves. 🧡🍂✨
