Laura always enjoys the chance to dance, sing, and laugh with the Burns Park Players community and is excited to be returning for her 6th show this year. In the real world she spends her days running a Medicare marketing & distribution company and trying to convince her teenagers that she is cool enough to hang out with. On the stage with BPP, she’s been lucky enough to transform into everything from a citizen of Duloc, to a swan, a chimney sweep, an inventor, and even a rainbow. Thank you to everyone who works so hard to make the Burns Park Players experience an ongoing part of what makes our neighborhood so special and thank you to Brad, Peder, and Anders for all of your support.

Lily is thrilled to take the stage as Jemima in her first leading role in the Burns Park Player’s production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. A 4th grader at Burns Park, this marks her third appearance with the Burns Park Players, where she loves to shine with her passion for singing, acting, and bringing joy to others through laughter. With her enthusiasm and dedication, Lily is ready to captivate the audience and make this performance unforgettable! She is grateful for her “stage sibling,” actor Maya Karthikeyan and all of the amazing cast & crew members that have made this experience so positive and one she’ll never forget. When she’s not performing, Lily loves to play the piano and play soccer with her friends, and she gets a kick out of making her family laugh.

I’m one of the old timers! Member of the group since 1989. Was president of the first BPP board. Directed the first show at Tappan South Pacific and, have had roles in over 25 shows. And once I handled child care . . . . I am so grateful and proud to have been a part of this group for all these years, I’ve appeared in shows with my children and now with my granddaughter Minnie.

Omkar is appearing in his sixth Burns Park Players show as Boris the Spy, for your comedic pleasure. He is delighted to share the stage with his daughter Maya—who you will love or else. Previous disguises include Sebastian in The Little Mermaid, Bert in Mary Poppins, and Sir Lancelot in Monty Python’s Spam-A-Lot. His primary cover is that of local Pediatrician. Other acts of treachery include playing the upright bass, golf, and subterfuge.

Carolyn is so excited to be back on stage with Burns Park Players! This is her 9th show with the group if you count her two years as a Burns Park student in the kids ensemble. Her favorite BPP experiences include playing Pinocchio in Shrek and helping bring to life the rainbow ensemble in Wizard of Oz. Many thanks to everyone who keeps this group going and growing year after year!

Maya is a Burns Park Alumna and is currently a 7th grader at Tappan Middle School. She is super excited for the opportunity to return to BPP as Jeremy Potts. Previous BPP shows include The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Spamalot, and Beauty and the Beast. Other notable roles include Nemo (Finding Nemo Jr), Miss Smythe (Mary Poppins Jr) , Oompa Loompa (W***y Wonka) and Charlotte Dennon (Elf Jr). Her hobbies include reading, theater, spending time with her friends (and sister!), and sewing. She hopes you enjoy the show and apologizes in advance for the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang earworm with which you are definitely going to be left following the show.

Lindsey is the proud mom to two Burns Park Elementary penguins, Byron (4th-grade) and Arthur (Young Fives)! She’s honored to enter her villain era as Baroness Bomburst in this year’s production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and has appeared in previous Burns Park Players shows as Belle in Beauty and the Beast (2023), Sir Robin in Spamalot (2022), and Mrs. Banks in Mary Poppins (2020). When she’s not doing the Bombie Samba, she can be found working at The Michigan Theater in downtown Ann Arbor as their Assoc. Director of Development. Break a leg, Team Chitty!

Caroline is so excited to join the Burns Park Players for a second year. She enjoys being on the stage with the kids, her friends and neighbors and enjoys tap dancing and helping out with British pronunciation when needed. Caroline is a mom of five and a sub teacher at Burns Park Elementary. Although life is busy, the dancing, singing, laughing, and connection that the Burns Park Players brings is absolutely wonderful!
