Join the UMS Choral Union this coming Monday, June 15, for the first Summer Sings of the season! Just come as you are to this no-audition, no-performance evening of memorable music-making in Hill Auditorium, featuring Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah.’

As we celebrate the centenary of Miles Davis's birth today, we also celebrate the singular life of jazz saxophone colossus Sonny Rollins, who passed away on Monday at the age of 95 at his home in Woodstock, NY.

UMS audiences had the pleasure of listening to Sonny Rollins in concert on October 1, 2005, presented as part of the UMS Jazz Series at Hill Auditorium.

The legendary jazz saxophonist, who revolutionized the art of improvisation, died Monday at his home in Woodstock, N.Y.
