Ann Arbor In Concert

Ann Arbor In Concert Epic musical productions performed in a classic concert setting. The rehearsal schedule and performance process are exciting and
fast-paced!

Ann Arbor In Concert (A2IC) is a performing arts organization, based in Ann Arbor, that focuses on bringing 100+ members of the
community together to perform musicals in a concert format. A2IC is a collaborative group that engages both performers and audiences alike with each show featuring a full volunteer
orchestra, principal actors, and a large choral/dancing ensemble. While A2IC is based in th

e city of Ann Arbor we welcome performers from throughout southeast Michigan. A2IC gives the theater-going public the opportunity to see an array of classic shows in a unique setting and is proud to devote a portion of all ticket sales toward funding annual scholarships that will benefit performing arts education.

Today was a rough day.
I got to watch Gavin's star take off as his accompanist during vocal rehearsals with Melody Racine back at UoM.
Also got to work with him and Celia and Amanda Satchell in one of the most amazing Kerrytown Concert House shows put together by Mike Mosallam.
And got to see him in a few of his Broadway shows.
The lights on Broadway are greatly diminished today.
Go watch his Tony award speech to get a tiny insight into the person.

Mr. Creel, a beloved fixture of the Broadway community, was known for his performances in Thoroughly Modern Millie , Into the Woods , and more.

A world of congrats to our TONY AWARD-WINNING leader Mike Mosallam. He was a Co-Producer on the breathtaking Broadway revival of PARADE. The musical took home the award for Best Revival of a Musical at Sunday night’s Tony Awards. We are so happy for you! Love, your MMP Team. ♥️🙏🏽

Happy 2021 everyone!!
Our thoughts and hopes to everyone out there on a new year!
Sadly - we don't have anything of our own to post here.
HOWEVER.
We have been blessed to have Quinn Strassel as a member of our troupe a few times over the years.
And he has produced an amazing video for MCity. Take a look!

We wanted to have some fun as we marked the 5th anniversary of the Mcity Test Facility in 2020. We took our cue from Starship's 1980's mega-hit, "We Built T...

We at A2IC hope that everyone is safe and healthy and doing ok in these crazy times.
In the hopes that we can bring a little bright-ness (is that a word?) to folks out there, especially our actors who have blessed us with their talent, we wanted to give a heads up about an A2IC alum.
We could not be more happy for Jo Ellen Pellman! You might remember her from HAIRSPRAY. :)
A2IC has been so blessed to work with so many talented individuals. Can't wait to get back to it!
Until then stay safe, happy holidays, and an early happy new year.
Read on. (original credit to Eva Rosenwald - thanks for forwarding!)

To all of our friends and colleagues who are having to cancel shows due to COVID-19 our hearts go out to you - we know the process of cancelling something you've invested so heavily in can be really hard.
In the interest of public health A2IC is holding off any announcements of a 2020 show until the crisis has passed.
More to come. Our hearts go out to anyone who has been personally affected.
Stay safe and stay healthy.

So as I am want to do from time-to-time I wander thru the A2IC video archives and I found this and was swept away with thoughts of our inaugural show. Seeing images of MIKE and DEBI and Christopher and Adrienne and Hank and Taurean and Imani and ...... p**p - it was a little much to take in. Thank you to all the amazing wonderful folks who have made this organization possible - we would be nothing without our family of performers, creatives, donors, and most importantly our PATRONS. Thank you!!
And do yourself a favor - wander thru the video archives on YouTube from time-to-time. Man are we blessed with talent here in Ann Arbor!!
