Solid Sound Recording Company

Solid Sound Recording Company Stepping out of your vehicle you'll feel transported to a quiet, remote, northern escape. or Nashville.

By simply pulling up the long evergreen lined drive that leads to the studio, you'll sense the stresses and worries that plague the creative process drain away. However, this oasis is completely outfitted with state of the art technology you'd only expect to find in New York, L.A. Built in 1975 the studio's exterior was trimmed to merge with the natural surroundings. Inside, it was custom built to

famed acoustician George Augspurger's strictest specifications. Solid Sound is staffed by people who love their work.* They have chosen to live and work in a smaller city because it enables them to structure their lives and work to get the most enjoyment out of it. Their enjoyment shows in a friendly and relaxed style that rubs-off on musicians and singers. Being musicians ourselves we've experienced what it's like to be the recording artist. This knowledge allows us to make the recording process all the more comfortable. Over 30 years have passed and Solid Sound is still the premier facility for those who will accept nothing less than the best for their art.

* To us "work" is a four letter word; we're part of the lucky minority that sees what we do as getting paid to have fun. Here are a few artists we have had the pleasure of working with. Tori Amos, David Barrett, Beck, CBS Sports,45 North Productions, Ani Defranco, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Ben Daniels Band, Fox, Art Garfunkel,Amazin' Blue, The G-Men, Arlo Guthrie, Ella Riot, Emmylou Harris, Indigo Girls, Norah Jones, Joan Osborne, Joss Stone, Rachel Yamagata, Keb' Mo, Willie Nelson, Rodney Whittaker, The Romantics...and many more!

Day one of tracking new EP is in the books and wow what a joyful vibe they brought.

Days like today are what it’s about. Ridiculously talented and hardworking players who make it sound easy. Who also just happen to be some of the chillest most down to earth folks you get to meet.

Can’t thank enough for making this connection. Hold on to your butts world. 2nd Things 1st is gonna rock it.

Need some ambient whale song to give your track some emotion… There’s an Evan for that.

Need some tight vibes to pull your rhythm tracks together…. There’s an Evan for that.

Need some finger picked arpeggios to give your track some push…. There’s an Evan for that.

Solid Sound MVP of the day.

Maybe we should start calling him Dr. Shreddinshrman. When ya need your tracks fixed up…. Call the Dr.
