hello again art friends. i’ve been quiet lately because i’ve been resting, and it’s time for a little update. turns out that doing two nearly-consecutive art challenges for 130 days while also navigating big transitions in my personal life is a great recipe for burnout! 😂

i’ll be back soon with more art and more videos, but for now i am prioritizing rest and recovery. stay well, forest fairies 🧚 🎨 🌳

“Sketchbook dump!” apparently is the colloquial term for this 😆 so here you go, art friends! I’ve been a little quiet here lately while I work on things behind the scenes , but here’s the rest of my Plein Airpril work in friendly photo form. (and a few more sketches from the many many references I took during Plein Airpril!) and ok a bit of an end of Airpril arboretum photo dump too. 😊 treeeeees

There are only a few pages left, too. This drawing challenge has been so simultaneously invigorating and exhausting 😆 almost sketchbook tour time!!

Ending on a peaceful, mellow note. No music track, just live real-time bird song. 😊 It’s been quite an interesting Plein Airpril, but I am so proud of myself for drawing trees every single day no matter the weather! (A couple times had to be indoors, but with fresh, new references.) Summer is my favorite season and I am so grateful that spring is in full bloom! So much learned this month. Lots to share in a longer video 😉
