The truth is, I’m not. I’m just getting a whole lot more selective.

Because it was never about the business of tattooing. It’s about the passion for creation and the connection that comes with it.

God gave me a gift for creating, and my job is to steward it well. My real calling is the impact a quality legacy piece of art can make, and the same impact I get from standing shoulder to shoulder with men who share one mission: rebuilding a strong, positive culture. In our communities, yes, but first in ourselves, in our lives, and in our families.

That’s why I’m inviting men who believe in that mission into The Creator’s Standard.

30 minutes to put our frustration and our opinions aside and come together to keep a promise that we made 25 years ago

To never forget… To stand United.

We’ve all fallen into the trap of outrage and opinion politics at least once and the division is more than obvious.

But for most of us, it’s still about one thing… keeping our families, our communities, our country and our futures safe.

30 minutes united may not seem like a lot… But it’s more than we’ve done, so let’s start here!

What makes me different in a “saturated market”?
Because I’m not competing with a market… I’m providing a service to a client, plain and simple. I don’t need to look like a cool Tattoo Artist. I just need to create a great reputation among the men who I can relate to, so that I can create for them better. I don’t give a s**t about being popular, or who has the most clients, or running flash events to keep doing the same Tattoo over and over again that loses its individuality each time it’s reproduced.

Tattooing to me is more about the lasting impression. It leaves behind more than it is the immediate gratification it’s become.

Q: when did you realize that your old ceiling had now become your new floor?

My entire life revolves around being a better man… Because that better man is inevitably a better business owner, a better operator, a better husband, a better father.

But when you get into a new season to become any one of those things that is voluntarily going back to the ground level to build higher and higher.
I could never just start something new from where I’ve left off elsewhere. I needed to take all of my lessons and build a new foundation from them to start an entirely new structure. And that is built a life I never thought possible.

It’s never about what you do, it’s about who you’re willing to become to be able to do all of it better

And that’s the reason the creator standard exists
To genuinely become better every day, and not have to do it alone
