We’re already looking ahead to another unforgettable weekend in the sky! Angola Balloons Aloft will celebrate 18 years as we return Friday and Saturday, July 9 and 10, 2027.

Hot air balloons, family fun and plenty of colorful moments are headed back to Angola. Mark your calendars, tell your friends and start making plans to join us. We can’t wait to fill the skies over Angola again!

We're grateful for our local property owners who allow balloons to land on their property during Angola Balloons Aloft. These property owners are given access to a form to complete, which enters them in a random prize drawing. This year, Kim Wagner of Angola is our winner! She will receive a Meijer gift card, compliments of Meijer. McKenna Secrist, flying "Zippity," was the pilot who landed on Kim's property. Congratulations Kim, and thank you to everyone in Steuben County who helps with this endeavor.

We still have more amazing sponsors to thank!

Today we're shining the spotlight on three community partners who helped make Angola Balloons Aloft even more memorable.

Saturday night's balloon illumination was absolutely spectacular, and it wouldn't have happened without the support of Bowen Health and Hawkins Water Tech - Water Treatment Solutions.

Families also had a blast making memories at our photo booth, generously sponsored by Bon Appetit at Trine University. We loved seeing all the smiles and fun photos throughout the weekend.

For the past seven years, Wingate by Wyndham - Angola has served as the host hotel for Angola Balloons Aloft, and they've been an incredible partner every step of the way. Their team consistently goes above and beyond to make our pilots and guests feel welcome. In fact, many of our pilots tell us how much they appreciate the staff's friendliness, hospitality and willingness to accommodate their unique schedules during the event.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Wingate by Wyndham - Angola, from the general manager to the front desk team, housekeeping, maintenance and every employee behind the scenes. It takes a true team effort to deliver the outstanding service they provide and we're so grateful for everything they do to help make Angola Balloons Aloft a success.

Our next appreciation post focuses on Steuben County Community Foundation and on their youth-led philanthropic group FIST. Forever Improving Steuben County Together is a group of local students from eighth grade through senior year. They seek to inspire the youth of Steuben County to become leaders of tomorrow by sharing their resources.

The Steuben County Community Foundation has been one of our biggest supporters through the years. This year, FIST sponsored Archery Tag, which gave thousands of children the opportunity to play free archery tag and enjoy safe target shooting during Angola Balloons Aloft.

We truly could not put on this amazing event without the help of our two VIP Sponsors. Billman Propane has generously provided all the propane for our balloons since 2010, at no cost to Angola Balloons Aloft! Stoy Farms and the Jim Hanna family deserve a big round of applause for allowing us to use the parking area year after year east of the high school. Your generosity is appreciated.

Thank you to our wonderful community! Your support made this event an incredible success. We appreciate everyone who came out and helped make it a weekend to remember.
