Yesterday's band and the end of the program was Casual Remix! This three-person band has such a clear sound and tone for every song they bring to the table. Their renditions are beautiful and when they bring out three separate harmonies it becomes even more impressive to make such rounded music with just the three of them. Thank you for coming out and performing for us.

To start off our day inside the Mini Theater on Thursday, we held the Legislators' Meeting for July of Allegany County. This tradition started 17 ago and has become a staple to our fair week. As well as something our representatives and legislators look forward to each July! It's such a unique experience that no other county does, and we are fortunate to be able to participate in actual legislation while bringing our community together. To be able to celebrate and recognize individuals who make a great impact in our community like members of the 4-H, Boy Scouts, Military, our Flower Nurseries, and our volunteers running the Allegany County Fair is a special moment that we get to create each year. We look forward to another great meeting next July.

We were finally able to hold the Kid's Pedal Tractor Pull yesterday after some rearranging. A short competition this year, but still a very fun one! Us at the Mini Theater had a bigger hand in helping out this year than just setting up sound equipment. Our Director, Becky Freeman-Brauen, stepped up to MC and our Supervisor, Katelynn Roulo, helped do the weigh ins, kept track of the measurements, and handed out awards at the end. We also had some last-minute volunteers from the crowd helping pull the tractor back up after each pull. We'd like to extend a thank you to Tom Talbet and Allen Wakefield who have been leading the tractor pull for years, it wouldn't be possible without them and their expertise. Each kid who participated got a ribbon, a $1 bill, and a certificate for a free small item from the Sugar Shack! Let's hope next year's Family Day has better weather so we can get more kids in on the fun.

Casual ReMix hails from Wellsville, NY and encompasses Michelle Libertone on lead vocals, Jessie Thompson on harmonies, and John Spicer on the acoustic guitar and vocals. Offering a variety of acoustic music, they are sure to hit on many known favorites from country, to folk, to light rock. Performing together for a combined 12 years across the Allegany and surrounding counties, their much-loved three-part harmonies are guaranteed to make you stop to listen.

Our last event of the day was The Backwoods Cloggers. Started in the 1980's, these cloggers started out dancing to country music and now clog to a variety of genres, even modern Taylor Swift! They did an amazing job at clogging for an hour, which is very hard work, and showing us their moves. We appreciate them choosing to come back throughout the years and hope to have them next year too!

Thank you to Eric Scutt aka "Buckwheat" for coming and performing on the stage today. Unfortunately, didn't get photos of him to post, but his set was spectacular and the crowd loved him. Check out his new album " The Rivers Gone Dry Part 1" to listen to his sound!

Thank you to Cherith Yuly and Emma Tyme for taking time out of their day to perform for us. They are very talented! Cherith played the Ukelele, Piano, Shaker, Guitar, and Sang. Emma Sang and played her Guitar as well. Both write their own songs, which takes lots of skill. Musical talent also runs in both families, as Cherith's dad, Jim, and Emma's dad, Kim, hopped onto the stage to play a few songs. Can't wait for next year, maybe we'll convince them to perform again!
