We are only a few days from night 1 of Thuney's Haunted Graveyard! It looks to be a beautiful evening! Night 1 is completely filled up and night 2 essentially is as well. In all, we are 98% full for all 3 nights! That being said, we thought we'd answer some questions and put out some reminders for those new to our experience and those who are veterans!
1. Try to come within 5 minutes of your time slot. We are a home haunt on a residential street, so we are trying hard to limit traffic and congestion and be respectful to our neighbors as well as ensure everyone's safety.
2. Every year since we started doing the time slots we inevitably get cancellations or no shows. Things come up and we understand completely. Thuney's Haunted Graveyard HAS become pretty popular though, and often times people check in the day of the walk and see if anything opened up so they can have a chance to go through. Please go to the sign up genius site and cancel if you aren't going to make it, so somebody has a chance to grab an open slot.
3. Don't call us during the hours we are doing the haunt...we won't answer. We can't go online and cancel your spot, or give directions or answer questions. We are actively part of the attraction.
4. We often get the question "How much does it cost?" or we get the comment "You should charge for this!". For many reasons, we like to keep it free and completely donation based. There is no magic formula for how much you should donate should you be inclined to do so. We always kind of looked at it this way...."How much was it worth to you?" Did you get $1 of entertainment for your family? Did you get $10 of entertainment? It's very subjective based on your experience. We started doing this as a fun way to celebrate the season and provide a fun experience for the community, not to make $$. However, it's certainly not free to put it all together, so it is very appreciated when those donations help us offset the costs of putting this on every year. Just do us a favor and don't bring like a bag of canned goods. We don't support any kind of organization with the donations. If you want to support a food shelf of something like that, just bring those things directly to them and cut us out as the middle man! :) We take cash and also have venmo. That's all located right up front when you walk in, so if you want to give something before you go through, awesome! If you want to wait to see how you felt about it first, that's fine...you'll walk right by the entrance again on your way out!
That should just about cover it! If you have any questions, send us a message! We look forward to seeing you!
