So this is Van Badham, our first official Writer in Residence for the week of February 7 - 13, 2016. She is developing two projects while staying at the house:

Banging Denmark, a romantic comedy, commissioned by Melbourne Theatre Company and Empire of the Rats, a drama commissioned by Luxi, Ltd. (London).

Van is an internationally award-winning theatre-maker and journalist, based in Melbourne, Australia. The winner of three Premiers' awards for playwriting in her own country, she's also known as a dramaturg, critic, trade unionist, feminist, activist and occasional broadcaster and is a weekly columnist for The Guardian.

The bar has been set.
