Cleanup

My shelves are stacked with tools and every kind
of useful things that I may never use.
The clutter makes my stuff so hard to find.

They're drill bits, clamps and glue to let me bind,
repair the chair, there is now no excuse.
I have to think of what I’ll leave behind.

The mess somehow makes sense inside my mind,
buried deep beneath yesterday's news.
The clutter makes my stuff so hard to find.

In game of letting go I have resigned,
when defending past memories I lose.
but I must think of what I’ll leave behind.

Possessions all will make me feel confined,
Lost in worry, uncertainty confused.
The clutter makes my stuff so hard to find.

These shelves, this mess are of my own design,
I will accept it, try to be amused,
