I’ve added my infamous BlueBack colorway to this phenomenal new Swimbait! The back is green with a New metallic blend of flake on the greenish back that tapers down to my blue/grey metallic shoulder followed by a ghost pearl in gold then a faint purple. The sides are covered with a very fine chrome metallic flake that glimmers like skin on a herring should! Very limited quantities available. This Swimbait has a beautiful action, typical of a Bluegill (See action in previous post). I painted two of these in a Bluegill pattern that are currently available. It’s a perfect time to give the herring chasers something else while they are in the dirt or when they’re keyed in stalking beds later this month.

PRICING VARIANCES: All pricing I have shown are for my custom SCC colors I produce. These are 13-15 step processes and require a lot of time, sometimes I think too much but the effort has proved over the years that it’s worthwhile for me by many customer comments/pics and sales volume.

On that note, if you see a lure on this page that you want done in a simple one/two color combination I will absolutely lower the price when and where I have room.

Last up today is the best of the best! I am overwhelmed by this Swimbait’s action! It measures 6” tip to tip, 2” at its highest point and is 7/8” wide at the back of the gills and tapers in both directions from there. It weighs just a little over 2 ounces and has a slow steady fall and stays tried and true at any speed. It’s buoyancy allows you to cast into a couple inches of water and with a short quick initial retrieve you can begin to fish it an any depth or speed you want.

This bait coming out of a pocket of brim beds will get creamed by the giants! My first painting will be in a bluegill colorway preparing for the June full moon.

Next up on the new arrivals is a micro bait and it’s the Duo Realis aftermarket Tailspin. It’s 1 3/4 inches long and weighs in just over 8 grams. It’s cast great for its size and drops quickly! Inforgot to bring it along for the video session last week but it has a shaking body with the tailspin initiating that action, much like the original.
