We ♥️ Addy!
Congratulations!

We have a new addition to the OCE team! Meet Adelynn Jessup, Project Specialist!

Addy is a 2024 Ball State grad (bachelor's in marketing). After graduating in December 2024, she began her role as the Anderson Museum of Art's Events and Engagement Manager.

During her time at the museum, she was responsible for managing rentals and events along with assisting with marketing efforts, particularly social media and the design of promotional material.

"Although my time away from Ball State was short, I quickly realized just how much I missed Ball State and Muncie," Addy said. "I figured I should probably come back."

We are so glad she did!

Addy will be the OCE go-to for school tours of campus and its arts and culture assets, United Way efforts and so much more.

"I am so excited to be a part of the team and am really looking forward to working out in the Muncie community while showcasing the University's incredible cultural assets," she said. "I love Ball State and Muncie, and I am so grateful I now get to work in a community that means so much to me. I look forward to assisting in strengthening community engagement, and creating meaningful, lasting impact throughout Muncie and surrounding communities."

Welcome (back), Addy!

Happy Monday, Anderson!
We're starting off our week with Anderson Gaslight Festival's magic vibes; which include artful faces and cars, baby goats, pony rides, MASH, Patsy Cline and Elvis, our AMOAzing community and volunteers. Thank you, Darla Sallee and crew for the tireless work you put into creating carrying this festival forward and for raising over $180K for flood victims in our community.

We saw resilience, determination, connectedness, and folks still in need of some assistance. Our friends over at the The Animal Protection League Inc., Indiana still need our help. Visit their page to see how.

Special thanks to our volunteer Tom Steiner and board member Samson Hunckler for snapping many of these photos for us! We'll see you next year!

Stop by and see us Saturday at the Anderson Gaslight Festival!

The Anderson Gaslight Festival is moving forward, and this year it will also be an opportunity for our community to come together in support of neighbors impacted by the devastating flooding.

On Sunday, August 23, the festival will host Flood Aid for Anderson, a live benefit featuring music, special guests, food trucks, and more from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the West Stage.

100% of every dollar raised will go directly to Anderson residents and businesses impacted by the flooding through the Madison County Community Foundation.

After an incredibly difficult few days, we hope the Gaslight Festival can give our community a chance to gather, support one another, and help Anderson rebuild.

We have some exciting news and have added a new member to the AMOA team this week....

Meet Garrett Henderson, our new Development and Engagement Director!

Garrett was born and raised in Anderson and graduated from Anderson University. After a few years in Washington, DC, he came home in 2021. Over nearly ten years, his work has taken him through national security, higher education, technology, and creative production, always in the service of organizations aiming to do good.

At AMOA, Garrett will continue that work - reaching local businesses, vendors, community partners, members, and supporters, and helping AMOA expand our efforts to share this museum with Anderson and beyond.

If you see him around the museum, say hello!
He'd love to meet you! In the meantime, don't be a stranger.
Reach out! Contact him at [email protected]

Join us all as we welcome Garrett to AMOA!
