‘Grandma’s painting’ went through a few iterations to get ‘cleaned, fixed, and spruced up’ & I’m so pleased with the result. ( I forgot to snap a photo of her in the busted old gold fancy frame 🤷🏻‍♀️)
And BEST of all my wonderful new client was super and trusted me with digging into her grandmother’s artwork to figure the mysteries around what has lasted and what hasn’t…… and what to do to restore while not repainting.
Just super happy how it turned out and Debbie got a small piece of her Grandma back!
Studio life is SO GOOD!

I’m getting really excited about returning this ‘ my grandmother’s original oil to the charming granddaughter client.
- removed dated and broken gold ornate frame,
-three cleaning passes,
( first one is first photo- discovered blue sky and tree line on lakefront!)
-mold treatment,
-over glazing to fill paint voids,
-other spot corrections ,
-curing,
-and oiling out-
-waiting for her to absorb as much of the conditioning oil as possible
- followed by an archival varnish .
I’ve ordered a barn wood frame so she will be sent home ready to hang proudly to bless the family home.

A HUGE thank you to the Pendleton Art Society and Gallery 119 ! So honored that my pieces were not only accepted into the show but also received awards!
Is always so cool to see ‘my studio babies’ playing with fellow artists’ works. Truly Pendleton and Gallery 119 is a special spot for us to give our work a chance to gather together.
