Last week, we celebrated a pivotal moment in Ancram Center's history -- the ribbon cutting for The Annex, our newly restored 1780s building right next door to the Opera House in Ancram's Historic Hamlet District.

The Annex adds artist and intern housing and new community classroom space to our growing arts complex, and more than 60 people came out to celebrate with us.

We were honored to be joined by representatives from the NY State Council on the Arts, NY Homes and Community Renewal, Assemblymember Didi Barrett, and the Ancram Preservation Group, all of whom helped make this restoration possible.

As Board Chair Cathy Redlich said, this is a "pivotal moment in Ancram Center's ten-year history," and we couldn't agree more.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. Here's to the next decade!

The objects we hold onto often hold stories of their own.

Join Joan Osofsky, Mary Randolph Carter, and Ancram Center Co-Director Paul Ricciardi for a heartfelt workshop exploring how memories, meaning, and identity live inside the things we love most, from treasured books and family heirlooms to flea market finds and everyday objects.
