Okay, so anyone who knows me probably knows that I've DESPERATELY wanted chickens for about 98% of my adult life. Unfortunately, there was one small snag — my sweet, sweet husband has never been a fan of birds. So instead of real chickens, I daydreamed about snuggling my "secret chickens" and even drew this silly self-portrait of me and my ladies cuddling in a sauna. 🐓

Fast forward to 2025, and guess what? My sweet, sweet husband has finally relented, and now he even LOVES the chickens. So, after years of drawing my secret chicken fantasies, I finally get to have my real flock!

If anyone needs me, Pip and I will be prepping the sauna for a secret chicken sauna session later.

Just kidding! Don’t actually put chickens in saunas! I don't think they would appreciate the 200-degree heat! 😂

Whew! What a week! 🙌
I found out on Wednesday that I’m part of the First Friday Bike Art Show at (seriously, the original welcome email from WEEKS ago went to spam 😂), rushed to drop off my artwork, and thought, “What the heck, why not open my storefront while I’m at it?”

I spy some Devine Creative Co. Art! I am so stoked to have had the chance to work on this piece, especially since it celebrates one of my favorite community events—Bike to Work Anchorage! I'm genuinely excited to hop on my cruiser and make a few stops at those delicious treat stations while I mosey to work. 🚲✨

👑 Meet the majestic 'King in the North' – our resident white raven reigning over Anchorage, Alaska! While I haven't seen our Spenardian king (or queen), I have been inspired by our trash-loving monarch.

We are halfway out of the dark! 🌙 ❄️

It is the shortest day of the year, and in Alaska, the people know how to celebrate the return of the light! If you live in Anchorage and want to brighten up your solstice, consider joining me at my day job with Anchorage Parks and Recreation at the Winter Solstice Festival. There will be ice skating, dog sled rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, and TONS of hot chocolate! Plus, I got to draw this piece for the Winter Solstice Festival poster!

Some days, I dream about sky whales swimming through the sky at Arches National Park! Honestly, this started as an illustration on a red-eye flight to entertain a baby beside me on a plane. He was super sweet and curious about what I was drawing on my iPad, and what started as an underwater piece ended up as sky whales soaring through beautiful red rocks. 🐋

Maybe Arches National Park can let me know if they have ever had a whale siting! 🤣

I am SOOOOO thrilled that I stumbled upon the ! This lovely, cheerful, hygge-filled challenge provided a great excuse to revisit a piece I started a couple of years ago that needed a little extra coziness from a roaring wood fire to snuggle up beside.

Welcome to Devine Creative Co.! I'm an Alaskan illustrator, designer, and general badass who loves quirky content, whimsical illustrations, and legendary layouts.

Currently, my days are spent at Anchorage Parks and Recreation, hanging with volunteers and making sure Anchorage is an incredible place to live, work, and play. In my spare time, I run my business Devine Creative Co., where I design everything from Junior Ranger books for National Parks to adorable stickers.

When I am not hard at work, you can find me adventuring with my friendly Dungeons and Dragons crew, building furniture in the garage, and drinking strong coffee and even stronger beer.
